Steven Underhill
|
Steven Underhill was born in 1962 and grew up in Northern California.
Throughout his early years he always had a
fascination for bringing his friends together on the
block and make super 8 movies.
Shortly after graduating from UCLA he began shooting
landscapes, but eventually found his strength in
portrait photography.
Steven tries to bring out his models own style and
personality on film, and shoots them in complimentary light.
"I think I've always wanted others to see what I see,
and think that's what being an artist is all about."

"If coverboy Jeff Conger didn't get a rise
out of you, perhaps you should have
your pulse taken! To be nineteen
again... Steven Underhill has once
again captured the rugged yet sensitivity
of young men on the brink of losing their
ever so photogenic innocence. There is
something here for everyone so why not indulge."

"Steven Underhill has captured the innocence, tenderness, and care-free attitudes of brothers Bruce
and Seth Hall, fondly here referred to in the book as the Hall twins. For those of us who first fell
head over heels for these two in XY Magazine or Underhill's earlier production, "Straight Boys",
Underhill leaves little to the viewer's imagination as we watch Seth and Bruce frolick on a grassy
lawn in their trademark Hane's tighy-whities or as they are skinny dipping along a secluded river
bank. For anyone who appreciates masculine beauty...in duplicate, this book is definitely for you."

"I picked up this book on a whim -- and am ever grateful I did! The pictures of Little Dickens make me not only want to take up photography, but buy an Abyssinian also. How did he catch that shot of sweet little Dickens in mid sneeze, I can't help but wonder! Buy this book if you need a pick-me-up, or know someone who does, it's like comfort food for the eyes. Even if you believe you are a "dog person," you won't be able to avoid being delighted by the candid images Tom Bianchi shares in this book."

"Now you can savour an entire volume dedicated to Jeff Conger,
Underhill's most photographed and equally photogenic rising star! Its not
hard to see why he has been dubbed Gay Icon for the new Millennium...
Although this volume is much smaller than the typical coffee-table format,
it's perfectly sized to hide under the pillow so that Jeff could very well be
the last face you see at night, and the first in the morning! Am I sounding
like an obsessed fan? Check this volume out for yourself and then we'll talk about fanclubs!"

Another great book from Steven Underhill of young, sexy Californian men. Where does he find them all. What
makes his photography so pleasing is his models are usually the "Boy Next Door" types, who seem so relaxed and happy when
modeling before the camera. Underhill has a way of making them look so relaxed yet lively and having fun all at the same time.
Like his other two previous books his models are young, athletic and not overly developed. These black and white photos are
perfectly photographed with just the right lighting and contrast. This book is a feast for the eyes. Another great book from Steven to add to your collection."
