Steven Underhill was born in 1962 and grew up in Northern California.

Throughout his early years he always had a fascination for bringing his friends together on the block and make super 8 movies. Shortly after graduating from UCLA he began shooting landscapes, but eventually found his strength in portrait photography.

Steven tries to bring out his models own style and personality on film, and shoots them in complimentary light. "I think I've always wanted others to see what I see, and think that's what being an artist is all about."
